Cometh the hour... Cometh the (Lax)Man

Aussies dont call him "Very very special" for nothing.... He to my mind is the Picasso of Indian cricket... Almost languid elegance and a artistic approach to batting.....

But make no mistake - he's one of the toughest and grittiest fellas you'll see in a long time.. One of those pople who rise when the chips are down.. outperform under pressure

He's played the best ever innings played by and Indian in a test match... the famous 281... However i love the other small knocks he's played which made the difference.... I remember the test match in Mumbai which got over in 2.5 days... and the pitch was turing square... Laxman (60 odd runs) and Tendulkar batted together for an hour and both the artist made it look like the pitch has been replace for that one hour!!!Today's victory he's shown that yet again... his best quality other than excelling under pressure is that he makes difficult pitches and deadly bowlers look easy... Ah

Yes a lot of us think beacuse his nature is reserved... and he always puts his team before self.... he's always unsung hero... I partially disagree... I think our generation has been privileged to have the godsent lineup of batsman..... Tendulkar, Dravid, Laxman Sehwag and Ganguly

Not just the amount they achieved and won for India but also for the great dignity in which they did so (least... visits to match referee i guess)

High five for Pandavas of cricket.. the fabulous five !!
